Your contractor handed you 10,000 OTDR files.
The needle is in there somewhere.

OTDRCheck screens your contractor's OTDR PDF test reports against your acceptance thresholds — surfacing the fibers that need a closer look, so your team isn't manually combing through thousands of files to find them.

You're signing off on millions in fiber construction.
What's actually in those test files?

When a contractor completes a fiber build — whether it's BEAD-funded, a USDA ReConnect project, a state grant, or a private deployment — they hand you a package of OTDR test reports, sometimes thousands of them. Those files are the documented record of how every fiber span tested at the time of installation.

Most project owners and broadband offices don't have a systematic way to screen OTDR deliverables. Files get spot-checked at best — or accepted on the contractor's word. Construction defects that are right there in the data go unnoticed because nobody had a practical way to look.

OTDRCheck was built to change that. We give the people responsible for verifying fiber construction the same ability to screen test data that the people generating it have had for years — so your engineering team knows exactly where to focus their review.

Independent OTDR Data Screening for Project Owners

OTDRCheck reads your contractor's OTDR PDF test reports, compares every extracted measurement against the acceptance thresholds you provide, and returns a structured screening report showing:

🔎

Spans That Met Your Thresholds

A complete list of fibers where extracted measurements fall within your stated criteria — organized for efficient engineering review.

⚠️

Spans Flagged for Review

Exact measurement, location, and threshold deviation for every fiber that didn't meet criteria — so your engineers know precisely where to look.

📋

A Structured Screening Report

Readable, organized output your engineering team can work from — sorted by fiber, measurement type, and deviation for efficient acceptance review.

How It Works

Three steps to a systematic, independent screening of your OTDR deliverable package. No OTDR software to install — your engineering team reviews the results and makes acceptance decisions.

1

Send Us Your Files

Send us your OTDR PDF test reports and your project's acceptance thresholds. We support reports from Viavi, EXFO, JDSU, Noyes, and more.

2

We Run the Screening

We process your files against the thresholds you provide and generate a complete screening report, typically within 48 hours of payment confirmation.

3

You Know Where to Look

A structured report showing which spans met your thresholds, which were flagged, and the exact measurements — so your engineering team can focus their review where it actually matters.

Built for the People Who Receive Fiber Construction

OTDRCheck is designed for project owners, engineers, and administrators — not contractors. If you're responsible for reviewing that a build meets spec before you release payment, this is a tool for your team.

🏛️

About OTDRCheck

OTDRCheck is built by outside plant engineering veterans with over 35 years of hands-on experience designing, managing, and overseeing fiber builds across rural America. We've been on both sides of the table — managing construction crews and reviewing contractor deliverables — and we built OTDRCheck because no systematic screening tool existed for the people responsible for verifying what they were paying for.

The defects are usually right there in the data. The problem has always been finding them.

Scope of Service — Important OTDRCheck analysis reports are screening tools based on data extracted from contractor-submitted PDF test files. Measurements are compared against acceptance thresholds provided by the customer. OTDRCheck does not independently test fiber, verify OTDR instrument calibration, assess test methodology, or certify compliance with project specifications or contract requirements. Results are intended to support your engineering team's acceptance review — not to replace it. Analysis accuracy depends entirely on the quality, completeness, and accuracy of the contractor-submitted PDF data. OTDRCheck makes no warranty, express or implied, regarding the fitness of any analysis report for a particular purpose. Project owners, engineers, and administrators retain full responsibility for final acceptance decisions, contract compliance determinations, and payment release.
